Letter from Jon Bartos

Congratulations on making the decision to explore starting your own business. I remember that day for me. It was December of 1998; I had sat down with my wife and kids to explore the “road less traveled” to get their buy-in to start my own business. I had spent 17 years in an industry, and though I kept moving up the ladder, we had to move three different times.  Starting my own business wasn’t just my decision; knowing the time and effort I would need to put into it, I needed everyone’s blessing. After much discussion (and some might say negotiation), everyone was on board! After a month of training with my new franchise partner, I started Jonathan Scott International in January 1999, a recruiting firm focused on the Warehouse Automation Technologies market. I never looked back.

Fast forward, nearly three decades later: like an amusement park ride, it was exhilarating, challenging, sometimes scary, and yes, extremely rewarding in every way.
